The National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel (NPIAP) is excited to announce the recipient of the new Small Grants program.
The NPIAP Research Committee selected the proposal "Fatty Acids and Pressure Injury" by Jana Ponce, PhD RD from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. This study aims to investigate the association of n-3 FAs with improved skin integrity and decreased PI development, potentially mediated by the anti-inflammatory effects of specialized pro-resolving mediators.
