Provider Organization Council (POC)
Profit or non-profit organizations whose main objective is patient care.
The Provider Organization Council (POC) is composed of representatives from both not-for-profit and for-profit healthcare organizations whose core mission is to provide direct patient care. These organizations have a vested interest in supporting the National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel (NPIAP) and its mission to improve the prevention and management of pressure injuries. POC representatives serve as a critical link between clinical practice and NPIAP’s work translating pressure injury initiatives into real-world settings. Their participation ensures that the clinical perspective is meaningfully incorporated into NPIAP’s strategies, resources, and advocacy efforts. If your organization is interested in becoming a Provider Organization Council (POC) member, explore our Provider Organization Council Guide to learn about the council’s purpose, scope of work, and member benefits.
