Interested in Using NPIAP Content?

The National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel (NPIAP) encourages the appropriate use of its educational materials for educational or commercial purposes.

NPIAP develops materials to advance education, research, public policy, and clinical practice related to pressure injuries. These resources are the intellectual property of NPIAP and may not be used without permission.

How to Request Permission

To request permission to use NPIAP materials:

  1. Complete the NPIAP Product Permission Use Request Form
  2. Your request will be reviewed by the NPIAP Executive Committee
  3. If approved, you will:
    • Sign a usage agreement
    • Pay a licensing fee (if applicable)
  4. Only after this process has been completed and you have received a signed contract from NPIAP may the materials be used

Required Acknowledgement and Disclaimers

All users must include the following attribution:

"Used with permission from the National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel, copyright 20XX."

Additional requirements:

  • For written publications:
    Include the following disclaimer prominently:

"The National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel (NPIAP) is an independent organization and does not endorse or promote the products or services of any organizations that use NPIAP’s educational resources. Reproduction of the NPIAP materials in this document does not imply endorsement by the NPIAP of any products, organizations, companies, or any statements made by the organization or company."

  • Use of logos:
    NPIAP logos included in copyrighted photos or images must remain intact when these materials are used in a for-profit user’s publication.
  • For electronic materials (e.g., presentations):
    The following statement must appear in at least one location within the content.

"The National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel (NPIAP) is an independent organization and does not endorse or promote the products or services of any organizations that use NPIAP’s educational resources. Reproduction of the NPIAP materials in this document does not imply endorsement by the NPIAP of any products, organizations, companies, or any statements made by the organization or company."
