NPIAP Welcomes New Board of Directors

The National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel, Inc. (NPIAP) is delighted to introduce our newly elected Board of Directors.

President Joyce M. Black, PhD, RN, FAAN

Joyce Black is the Florence Niedfelt Professor of Nursing at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. In her role, she teaches both undergraduate nursing students and graduate students. She also serves as a hospital consultant and an expert witness. Her clinical work with wounds spans over 40 years. Her research interest is in Deep Tissue Pressure Injury. Dr. Black graduated from two nursing programs in Minnesota and started practice at St. Mary’s affiliated with the Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN. She completed her graduate work in Omaha with the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Learn more about Joyce’s vision for the current year here.
