To support the mission of NPIAP, the Emerging Leaders Program will provide direction, inspiration and leadership for professionals interested in advancing their career in pressure injury prevention and management through education and research.
The goal of this program is to prepare the next generation of Board of Directors, Council Members or Executive Committee Member of NPIAP.
This one-year mentorship program will provide opportunities for the emerging leader to contribute to projects related to the NPIAP education and research mission committees.
Mentee’s responsibilities:
Receive one year of mentorship on at least one project within one committee
Work with mentor to set up goals
Have monthly meetings with mentor to evaluate progress (meeting frequency may change depending upon the agreed project).
At least one form of deliverable is expected at the end of the year of the program. Examples: contribution to a whitepaper, assistance with planning the annual conference, patient and caregiver education material, etc.
Mentee’s benefits from the program: Registration cost will be provided to either the Spring or Fall conference.
