Each of the three editions of the NPIAP-EPUAP-PPPIA Guidelines (2009, 2014, 2019) have been distributed to over 200,000 individuals world-wide with translations available in multiple languages. A new systematic analysis of the number of guideline citations in the peer reviewed literature revealed that each of the International Pressure Ulcer/Injury Guidelines have exceeded thresholds for "Highly Cited" articles in "Clinical Medicine".
