A Message from Our 2025 President, David Brienza, PhD

NPIAP's President, David Brienza, PhD, has dedicated over 30 years to advancing pressure injury prevention and care, and we are excited for the leadership and vision he brings to the role. In his first message as President, Dr. Brienza expresses his gratitude to the NPIAP Board of Directors and Panel Members for entrusting him with this responsibility and reflects on the organization's mission to continue to improve care for those affected by pressure injuries.

Dr. Brienza also extends his deepest appreciation to Dr. Joyce Black, the outgoing President, for her exceptional leadership and contributions that have significantly advanced the NPIAP’s mission.

As we look to the future, Dr. Brienza is eager to collaborate with the NPIAP community to address challenges, build upon our strong foundation, and continue making meaningful strides in pressure injury prevention and treatment.
