Call for papers: 2020 Conference 

Do You have Cases of Skin Failure or Kennedy Terminal Ulcers?

NPUAP is hosting a conference in Houston February 26-28, 2020. One of the purposes of the conference is to explore skin conditions at end of life or “skin failure or “Kennedy Terminal Ulcers”. NPUAP is looking for case series of 5 or more patients that were described as having these skin changes. Please submit an abstract of your findings for review by December 15, 2019.

Cases must include: 

  • Photographs
  • Case history
  • Your basis for classification/description of the skin changes

Chosen submissions will be given 7-10 minutes to present the findings at the NPUAP meeting on February 27, 2020.

Please submit for review:

  1. Synopsis of the cases
  2.  Photograph of each case
  3. Your rationale for labeling the skin changes as end of life changes to NPUAP 2020 conference abstract submission for End of Life Cases.

Must be submitted as a PowerPoint document. Provide a contact name, phone number and email for the review panel.

Decisions will be provided by January 4, 2020. If your work is chosen, complementary registration to the meeting will be provided.

Have You Successfully Prevented Pressure Injury in Extremely High-Risk patients?

NPUAP is hosting a conference in Houston February 26-28, 2020. One of the purposes of the conference is to explore avoidable and unavoidable pressure injury. NPUAP is looking for case series of 5 or more patients that were classified as extremely high risk, yet your team was able to implement a successful pressure injury prevention program. Please submit an abstract of your findings for review by December 15, 2019.

Cases must include:

  • Photographs
  • Case history
  • Your specific prevention strategies (support surface, products, structure/process to support, etc.).

Chosen submissions will be given 7-10 minutes to present the findings at the NPUAP meeting on February 28, 2020.

Please submit for review:

  1. Synopsis of the cases
  2. Photograph of each case
  3. Your rationale for identifying the pressure injury as unavoidable or avoidable to NPUAP 2020 conference abstract submission for Avoidable Pressure Injury Cases.

Must be submitted as a PowerPoint document. Provide a contact name, phone number and email for the review panel.

Decisions will be provided by January 4, 2020. If your work is chosen, complementary registration to the meeting will be provided.
